Jørgen Jakob Friis is the founder and daily leader of Illuminaut. He is responsible for organizational and business development and sales.
In addition to a long-standing interest in Japan through the martial art he has, during his time at InnovationLab, RoboCluster and the University of Southern Denmark, worked with Japanese robot researchers and companies in the interactive robotic systems, welfare technology and service products.
His professional background is in computer science and he has a MA in Information Science followed by nine years of experience in the IT industry as a project manager, system designer, programmer and system developer.
Since 2008, he has worked with innovation and dissemination of knowledge about robotics, welfare technology and human-technology interactions. He has been behind the term 'Active Living' Technologies and has participated in the development of a new concept to teach physical education students about technology, innovation and entrepreneurship.
Noriko is an MSc in International Marketing & Management from Copenhagen Business School (CBS). She has international experience with Japan, Italy and Denmark and working experience in Marketing and Business Strategies from foreign companies on the Japanese market. This gives her good qualifications to establish and coordinate international business collaborations.
At Illuminaut, she works with networking, sales and marketing in Japan. She also executes a number of project. She is also a very experienced translator, and is responsible for making many of Illuminaut's translation tasks.
Pernille attended Hjørring Business College (EUC-North), and has a Bachelor of Arts in Business, Language and Culture. During her education, she has gained knowledge of company structure, marketing, market research the English language and cultural differences.
At present, Pernille is studying for a Master in Human Resource Management, to learn more about management and personnel strategies.
Pernille is very interested in Japanese culture, and in 2014, she took a semester in Japan, where she studied Business Administration at Ritsumeikan University, Kyoto.
Naoya originates from Japan, where he studied Scandinavian Culture and Danish Language at Osaka University. During the last six years, he has worked as an IT Administrative/Web Marketing Manager, Japanese Localization Manager and Freelance AdTech Writer.
In 2009, Naoya created a NPO, Hyggelig Japan/ 北欧ヒュゲリジャパン, which promotes cultural exchange between Denmark/Scandinavia and Japan. From 2015, he will take a Master of Digital Innovation & Management at the IT University of Copenhagen (ITU).
